The Tree and Palm Exam is the trade portion for the C-49 classification. The test is given by the
Contractors State License Board and is a closed-book examination consisting of multiple choice
questions that cover the following sections:
Planning and Estimating
Tree and Palm Installation
Pruning and Maintenance
Tree and Palm Removal
Tree and Palm Safety
The CSLS Testing program is designed to give you a well developed sampling of questions similar to
those you will find on the licensing exam given by the California Contractors Board. The testing
program will cover the required sections and provide helpful explanations of answers that may need
additional clarification. Each question is a multiple choice question formatted similar to the
Board's test, with four choices per question and only one "best" answer. The benefits of this on-
line program are for you to study the targeted areas of testing, to become familiar with the way
questions are presented and to get used to the computer testing process.
